This five-seat SUV is sure to be a great one for families. I think the new exterior styling looks fantastic in the magnetic blue clolourway with a pearl black floating roof, it definitely makes it look more modern, airy and spacious from the exterior.

When I look inside the 2023 Nissan Qashqai, it definitely carries through to a more modern and light interior. I am firstly impressed to see the inclusion of rear air vents and USB-C and USB socket in the back, across all models of the new Qashqai which is fantastic news for families carrying little passengers in the back. Great for keeping them at a comfortable temperature and keeping their devices charged too!

Now talking of the back seats, there are ISOFix points in the two outer rear seats and top tether anchorages on the back of all three backrests. The previous model Nissan Qashqai (pictured below) does currently just fit three child seats in the rear at a squeeze.

The rear seats in the new model feel nice and spacious, so I'm looking forward to testing whether three Infasecure child seats will fit across the back with a bit more flexibility.

Another feature I love for families is the keyless entry, which is standard across the 2023 Nissan Qashqai range and really good news for parents going to and from the car with their kids and all their belongings!

The top-spec 2023 Nissan Qashqai model features a hands-free tailgate which is so handy when loading prams etc into the boot.

The boot has a very adaptable boot floor that I think will be very practical and desirable for families. Made up of two floor panels, you can flip each floor panel over to use either the carpet covered side or a plastic easily wipeable surface. I instantly thought that would be great for muddy shoes and the beach!

You can also split the boot into two sections by standing each panel up vertically which will be practical for sectioning the boot off when you are not carrying a full load. I'm looking forward to putting this through my full BabyDrive boot testing.

Technology in the 2023 Nissan Qashqai has had a good update too, with a 12.3-inch media screen and digital radio and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, on all but the base model.

Satellite navigation also comes as standard in all but the base model too.

Wireless phone charging is standard in the top two models and the top-spec model has a 10.8-inch head-up display, heated and massage front seats and a 10-speaker Bose stereo system!

The new 2023 Nissan Qashqai will also comes packed full of safety systems with Nissan's Pro-Pilot safety suite available on all but the bottom spec model.

All models include rear camera and rear parking sensors, forward collision warning with forward auto emergency braking, lane departure warning (LDW) and lane departure prevention (LDP), blind spot intervention (BSM), tyre pressure monitoring (TPMS), traffic sign recognition and active speed limiter, rear-cross traffic alert (RCTA), active emergency braking (AEB), driver attention alert, rear passenger alert, intelligent cruise control, high beam assist and a far side airbag that comes between the two front passengers heads so they do not collide in the event of an accident.

I haven’t driven the 2023 Nissan Qashqai yet, I’m looking forward to driving it later this year with my family onboard and seeing just how fuel-efficient the “e-power” hybrid is.

The New 2023 Nissan Qashqai has been brought right up to date with a much more modern and enjoyable-looking interior. With lots of features onboard that are very desirable for families, this should be a great SUV for one, two and maybe even three child families.
