2023 Porsche Macan T review

The Porsche Macan T is a very good-looking car, and in this striking orange colour (officially called Papaya Metallic), it attracts a lot of attention.

When it comes to installing child seats, there are ISOFix points in the two outer rear seats, they are within plastic guides and nice and easy to connect to.

There are top tether anchorages on the back of all three rear seatbacks that are easily accessible through the boot.

Three Infasecure child seats fit really easily across the rear seats of the 2023 Porsche Macan T. It is a really comfortable fit and you could put three forward or rear-facing child seats across. I used the Adapt More Infant Capsule, Momentum More forward facing and Achieve More forward facing.

The Porsche Macan T is a good car for tall families, as it has generous legroom. With a rear-facing Infasecure Adapt More Infant Capsule installed, we could fit a 182cm driver in front of it. Or taller front passengers in front of forward-facing child seats.

Rear passengers have cup holders in the central seat fold-down armrest. Older passengers can use reusable or disposable coffee cups, or a child's cup will fit in them, too.

There are no map pockets but there are charging sockets in the back of the central console box.

Rear door bins are small and will hold a refillable water bottle.

The front door bins are larger and will hold a wallet and water bottle.

In the front, there are two cup holders that will hold a reusable or disposable coffee cup. Behind them a small central console box and in front of them a small tray to store your phone.

The glove box is lined and will hold an iPad and wallet.

The cabin of the 2023 Porsche Macan T is quite minimal and clean. With four air vents across the front dashboard…

… and in the back of the central console box so rear passengers can be kept the correct temperature too while travelling along.

One of my favourite features is the fully adjustable headrests in the Porsche Macan T.

Around in the boot, the 2023 Porsche Macan T is very practical for families being spacious, and having a big flat floor too.

The boot of the 2023 Porsche Macan T will hold thirteen shopping bags, which matches the Jaguar F-Pace and is comparable to the Range Rover Velar, the Audi Q5 and BMW X3/Alpina XD3 which all hold fourteen shopping bags.

The Jiffle Wagon versatile 6-in-1 pram with its seat fits nicely in the boot of the Porsche Macan T with room for three bags of shopping. The Jiffle wagon holds up to 60kg of cargo inside the wagon too so you have heaps of extra storage and you don't have to unload it to put it into the boot.

If your family has a fur baby, you can transport it in the boot of the Macan T if you remove the parcel shelf.

The media system in the Porsche Macan T is lovely and easy to use and navigate using the controls down the right of the screen.

It has a built-in sat nav…

… and you can customise the screen display to your liking.

Within the media system you have the weather and locating nearest petrol station etc.

You have Apple CarPlay so you can access your phone's navigation, listening and messaging apps while driving…

… and you can easily bring your music to the front if your little one falls asleep in the back.

When you put it in reverse, the camera images are beautiful and clear…

… you can easily pick between camera views.

You have a birds-eye view too which can be healpful for parking. You can flick between views and turn the parking sensors on and off down the right on the screen.
