2022 saw some FANTASTIC new luxury five-seater family cars come through the BabyDrive garage and for once I found it easy to pick my favourites. All are in the luxury price range and it is easy to see why they stand out from the rest. Resd on to find out why these are BabyDrive's Best 5-Seat Luxury Family Cars of 2022!
- Looking for five-seaters that will take three child seats across?
- Looking for cars that will fit a twin pram in the boot?
1st Place: Porsche Macan
In first place is the Porsche Macan, this is a FABULOUS luxury five-seater SUV! It does sit at the top end of budgets for this size of car, ranging in price from $85,000 – $130,000 but earns its position as BabyDrive's best five-seater luxury family SUV of 2022 not only for the amazing way it drives but its family practicality also. Its beautifully designed interior is a pleasure to spend time in and it fits three Infasecure Attain More child seats in the back which makes it very practical for families big and small. A 186cm driver can sit in front of a rear-facing child seat which is pretty impressive legroom! Boot space is very good too, holding a double pram easily. 2nd Place: Genesis GV70
In second place, the Genesis GV70 is a STYLISH and beautifully designed luxury SUV. Ranging in price from $67,000 to $84,000 (or $127,000 for the electric version), it has a stunning interior and is a pleasure to spend time in. The GV70 looks fantastic on the exterior too. Brimming with family practicality the GV70 has three top tether anchorages and two sets of ISOFix in the rear seats and holds three Infasecure child seats in the back with good legroom and comfort for the adults on board. 3rd Place: Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce
The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce definitely deserves third place on the list of BabyDrive's Best 5-Seat Luxury Family Cars of 2022. It is a CHARMING five-seater that turns a lot of heads when you are driving it. Definitely more a heart over head decision, but still pretty practical for family life, the Giulia seems to major on being fun to drive for the adults on board. The Alfa Romeo Giulia Veloce fits two Infasecure child seats in the back row, fits a twin pram in the boot and has a fun and smooth drive. It ranges in price between $64,000 and $288,000 (that second price is not a typo although for that money it is almost a racing car with no back seats at all).
